Mr&Mrs

Ingrid's best-bestest friend got married a few days ago and as a wedding gift she wanted to give the newlyweds something more special than a set of pots for the already all-furnished-equipped flat the couple owns. Therefore she asked me to make this beautiful pendant and set of cufflinks with the words "mr" and "mrs" engraved on them. Isn't that such a fabulous idea!

Both pieces have the date of the wedding engraved at the back and the heart shaped pendant is finished with a beautiful dark blue pearl detail (bride's favourite color).
Thanks Ingrid for giving me the chance to work on such an awesome project! I  enjoyed every little soldering of it... ;)

Claire and Tyron's Winter Invitations

Who said you must get married in summer? Yes, it's true: is warm, you can show a nice tan and you are most likely to get a sunny day for your wedding. But there's really no rule on when you should get married so Claire and Tyron decided they will have a winter wedding and make the best out of it. And honestly the more I think about it, the more I like the idea: beautiful yellows, intense bordeaux and warm browns in the trees, soft light and a bride with a beautiful furry coat: I'm in!
Claire and Tyron are a young and hip couple and I got the pleasure to work with them :) For their wedding invite they wanted something romantic and timeless. The colour palette we work with was elegant brown, light cream and soft green. The suit consisted of 3 different sizes cards tied together with a beautiful warm-cream-heart-shapped lace and this was all packed in an envelope with the guests details printed on.

I hope you like!

Jes and Mark's Summer Wedding

It's Friday and that makes me very happy: yeayyy!!! And to celebrate here are some pictures from Jes and Mark's wedding in Arniston. This must have been one of the best weddings ever, ever!

On Friday we all drove the 3 hours to Arniston, a little fishing village up the East Coast and filled up the only hotel for the weekend. On Saturday morning we got to enjoy the beach and swim in the beautiful warm water, had lunch and ready for the wedding :)

The ceremony was held in a beautiful old chapel a few blocks from the hotel so no cars were needed, so everyone just walked, including Mark and Jes. The reception was at the Arniston hotel where we were all staying. The party was incredible and we finished the night in the POOL! Yes of course: bride and groom as well.

Enjoy the amazing pictures that Travis and Marike from  We love pictures took on the day

Bianca and Stuart's Stationery

Bianca and Stuart are one of my favourite's couples I've got the pleasure to work with; they got married last weekend at St. Cyprians Chapel in town and had their reception at the Vineyard Hotel in Newlands.

Soon, I'll post some pictures of their beautiful wedding. But in the meantime here is a preview of the stationery I designed for them: menus, church order of service, table seating, souvenir tags, etc.

I hope you like.

Cedric and Kirsty's Modern Invites

Cedric and Kirsty got married a week ago. They both live in Francistown, Botswana but decided to tight the knot in Cape Town, Kirsty's home town.

Many of their friends flew in specially for the wedding not only from different African countries but also from Dubai, United Kingdom, USA and Canada.

Mocho Loco designed the wedding invitations and stationery for their special day...

These are the invites: clean and modern perfectly square cards in cream, gold and olive tones. The suit consisted on 3 cards (light cream, Ivory and gold) packed in a beautiful folder with the couple's monogram detail. This was then packed in an envelope same colour as the folder and middle card with the guests details printed on each envelope and sealed with a custom made sticker.

I hope you like!

Nadia and Alastair Bohemian Elegant Wedding

A few months ago I posted the invitations I designed for Nadia and Al: here are some picture of their stationery and the beautiful wedding they had on 11 February 2012.

They got married under the trees at Towerbosch Earth Kitchen in Knorhoek, Stellenbosch: stunning venue! The theme for their wedding was bohemian elegance and the color palette they used was cream, purple, pink and cherry red.

Nadia's dress was designed by Robyn Roberts and the beautiful wedding photographs were taken by Madre Kohn. Mocho Loco designed the wedding stationery including order of service, wine labels and tree signature book.
I hope you like!

Wishing Nadia and Al best of luck in their new life together as Mr. and Mrs. Coombe!!!

Sol and Luis Wedding

So as promised: here are some pictures from Sol and Luis's wedding in Punta del Este, Uruguay!

This must have been one of the coolest weddings ever: love and joy was all around! A real Argentinean wedding where formalities were left aside and it was all about sharing and having fun.

The wedding started at 5pm, and even though the ceremony that was prepared for the beach, had to be moved inside due to the rain and wind, I really could not have imagined it any better. Vale and Ezequiel, best friends of the groom and bride, married the couple. They had prepared everything very neatly and put so much effort into every detail. I've never before witnesses such a deep, emotional and rich ceremony, where tears and laughs were all shared.

The reception was held at La Huella, the couple's favorite beach restaurant and I must say, I understand why: the food was just amazing, crab and prawns would melt in your mouth like butter, risotto, like home made by a real Italian granny, pacific salmon and lamb as mains. And not to forget about the decadent chocolate wedding cake...mmmmmm

The party was the highlight of the evening, the pictures can tell. We partied and partied until 5h30am; bride and groom into the air; "rey momo" foam and the typical argentinean "carnaval carioca" couldn't not be there. I hope you enjoy the pics...

Sending all my love to Sol and Luis! Thank you guys for having us and wishing you the best in your new life together as Mr and Mrs Esrubilsky…
