Brittany and David's Wedding invitations

I'm so excited to share with you these beautiful invitations I designed for Brittany and David.

When Brittany contacted me a few months ago to design her and David's wedding invitations, I couldn't hide the excitement. Her sister Bianca got married a few years ago and that was one of the first invitations I ever designed (click here to view their invites) and still to date, one of my all time favourites.

Brittany and David are a young and vibrant couple that got married this past weekend. I went to the venue in the morning to set up all the special stationery details and must say that everything looked stunning. Thank you to my patient husband for all the help setting up menus and macaroons boxes for each guest and applying the vinyl details to the floors - you really are the bestest.

Today I'm sharing some photographs of Brit and David's wedding invites, which I totally love. The colour scheme for their wedding was gold (my fav), blush pink and white. The wedding invitation suite included a main card that unfold to give a 3D look with a photo taken by the talented Sophie Smith, a details card and a sleeve with gold foil details (gold foil = happiness).

I hope that as soon as the photos from the wedding are edited and developed, I can share them with you as well which I have no doubt will be just stunning.

Happy Monday everyone; hope you all have a great and productive week ahead!

Gillian and Paul's Wedding Invitations

Happy Friday everyone! It's a beautiful sunny day in Cape Town; I hope everyone is getting ready to enjoy a beautiful weekend ahead! But before that, I would like to share with you the wedding invitations I designed for Gillian and Paul.
These two are not only one of our closest friends but the most wonderful couple I've ever met. Both of them are relax, gentle and truly sincere real people! And let's not forget how stylish this couple is... I guess that from the moment they started dating we all knew they were perfect for each other.

The theme for their wedding was "Botanical love". So for the invitations we combined soft illustrated floral elements with rustic craft paper and twine.
If you like the invites, wait until you see some images from their magical winter wedding...

Jared's Barmitzvah: Day 02

For Jared's second day event, we changed the decor and completely transformed the house for a "green lumo party". We set up a light-motion photobooth, used bright decor elements, lasers and lighting features, and of course a lumo green dancefloor.
I think that both kids and adults had a blast and I'm sure that the local police officers as well, otherwise they wouldn't have come to visit three times. And yeah, we worked hard but it was totally worth it when seeing everyone smile and dance until the last song of the evening.
Special thanks to Sheri who helped me co-ordinate this massive event: I wouldn't have been able to do it without you my special friend (next: your wedding)!

Jared's Barmitzvah - Day 01

Jared's mom and I worked together in one of my first jobs here in South Africa (she was my boss - one of the coolest ones) and we kept in touch since then. When she asked me to help her with the organization of her first born child's Bar-mitzvah, I couldn't say no; the ideas she had in mind for it, where the kind that I like... So I ended up helping designing invites, stationery, decor, photographing and booking all suppliers for this 2-day event.
On the first night, Jared had a dinner with all his family. We set up at his parent's house garden: the theme for the day was "feel like at home" and the colours we used where white, blue and yellow.
Here are some pics of the event!

So today I want to share with you the invites I made for Jared's Bar-mitzvah last year. The clean and suite in blue, yellow, green and white colours included 3 cards tied with twain and a little tag packed in a colorful envelope.

Featured Wedding: Celeste and Alain

Yesterday I posted the wedding invitations I did for my friend Cele and her husband Alain. I couldn't not post photos of the wedding day itself... Perfect venue, most beautiful bride and groom ever (I'm serious here), amazing family and friends that flew in from all over the world to be present, made of this, an amazing day filled with true love and joy...

A lot of work went into setting up this beautiful wedding and the attention to detail was spotless (after planning so many Rocking the Daisies, Alain and his team knew exactly what to do to make his bride the happiest). I'm so glad that the little logo I designed for them was used throughout the day in the decor!

Enough said:  I'll let the images speak for themselves... oh, and don't forget to check out their wedding video here!

Once again, congrats Cele and Alain: wishing you the best as Mr. and Mrs Ferrier!
